Neither Hammers United, nor any other group can get things back to how they were, but we can try our best to get things back as close to how a family club should and can be in this day and age.

Just about anyone, pro or anti move, can agree that the sad stories you're reading on this thread need to be addressed, and fans listened to.

It's hard to win the league, and nobody expects that, but it's not hard to set up shop in a way that makes fans feel welcome and at home, and make them feel included, as the essential ingredient they are. We should all expect that much at least, paying so much hard earned money and time.

Re: Club London
This is a fucking sad thread. I don't know him personally, but Huffers for all his Lampard mockers is as loyal as they come for newer generation fan like me (someone who was born in 80s/early 90s & has never seen us lift a proper trophy). From my reading on here, for him to get pissed off really is quite symbolic to how much the people in charge really care about our fans. We are completely fucked - these supporters groups trying to get some power are literally the only one's who can save who we used to be.

Re: Club London
btw I didn't touch it. It was interesting to have a look around but couldn't see how it was worth the money.

I pay peanuts for a seat in BMU and have a drink at the screen bar before & after the game. Decent supporters all around where I sit. I'm happy with that.

Percy Dalton 7:40 Mon Nov 4. Don't feel sorry for me mate, I'm fine.

Re: Club London
I do feel sorry for you lads that still go over there and are treated as if they're doing you a favour.
I binned it after six home games when we moved to Stratford.
After not missing hardly any home games since 1960 it took me ages to get it out of my system.
Like a junkie on cold turkey.
Believe me though it does get easier and fairly quickly which was a surprise to me.
Now I wouldn't go over there for all the tea in China as the club that I love is dead for me.

My line was no concessions so it’ll be 7.5k a year to take my kids and getting treated like a terrorist.

All credit to you fans still turning up supporting the team but there must be limit or a line your not going to cross.

A free bottle of water!

Jim - a bomb, knife or gun won't set them off. The only thing that sets them off is if you have bottle with a top still on it.

Re: Club London
I'd love to know what noise those wand things on the searches need to make in order to warrant somebody carrying something they shouldn't as they beep constantly when being scanned across everyone but the minimum wages morons doing the searching never seem to bat an eye so what happens if someone does have a bomb, knife or gun???

Huffers 4:15 Mon Nov 4
Re: Club London
The crazy thing is, they ask to see your wristband on the 'bridge' when you have clearly come out of the Lounge yet if you came from the normal concourse and into the seating area, then walked across the rows to the 'corporate blocks' you can access the area.

At Wembley for example, it is sectioned off. Its particularly annoying when we play clubs like Manchester United, you get all the tourists come over and stand in your seats because they want to see the opposition players.

Re: Club London
New one every game. They alternate colours etc.

ornchurch ammer 3:57 Mon Nov 4
Re: Club London
How does this wristband thing work?
Is it a permanent thing or do you get issued a new one each week?

The searches get on my tits. Whether its freezing cold or pissing rain its "undo your coats, take your hat off". Whats wrong with them wand things? You don't get all that bollocks at other grounds.

Re: Club London
Huffers - We had similar shit when we moved from UP. There were 4 of us in Row D of the chicken run. Edge of the 18 yard box towards the Bobby Moore.

When the MIGRATION happened (I hate that fucking word), we were offered ROW 57 of the now Billy Bonds UPPER TIER. Like for like that was supposed to be! I went mad - wrote to the club, finally got an appointment with the ticket office manager after several attempts and in the end got Row 27 in the lower for double the price we paid at UP. Row 27 was still shit and we were supposed to be in the better seats.

Then at the start of this season, they wanted £900 to renew. Piss taking wankers. All 4 of us long term season ticket holders jacked it in.

West Ham don't give a fuck. They just move a new bunch of newbies into our seats.

We used to do a lot of aways as well but the priority points now all gone, They can fucking shove it.

Do miss the away days though. Not the cesspit one bit

Huffers 3:42 Mon Nov 4
Re: Club London
I didn't do it for the corporate, I did it to get a similar seat to what I had at Upton Park. I don't use the bar except to get my 'free' bottle of water at half time.

Before a game, I go straight through it and to my seat.

I probably shouldn't have signed up for it but the email in early 2015 came out and I got carried away I guess. Big promises such as first dibs on cup semi-finals etc. How naive.

Rossal 3:38 Mon Nov 4
Re: Club London
Fuck off the corporate, parts of the grounds in the normal seats with us peasants is ok. The footballs shit....but the view and people around me are just as good if not better than UP.

Huffers 3:26 Mon Nov 4
Re: Club London
I won't be giving it up, no way. I find international breaks hard enough.

I think it'll take me a lot to miss a home game. Away games I have eased off of and didn't bother with Villa and missed Man City & Man United last season.

My mate who I go away games with can't make night games so I'm frequently doing them on my own. Games like Everton a couple of years ago, driving all the way up on my own, watching us get smashed 4-0 then driving back, getting home at 3am then back into work by 7am is a killer.

Our one or two unexpected results over the year does make it worth it. Just.

Re: Club London
my first time in one of the exec boxes on saturday, and as nice as it was i dont think i could do that every week.
little things stick out though that would annoy me......... the 15 or 16 boxes all are linked to one sky box. so before the game we had to get an agreement to turn the TV over to the B'mouth game.
all the bits on the wall (framed shirts etc) have to come down after the game. all feels v temporary.
there's a massive gap from the box to the seats, you cant stand there so its like a no-mans land. apparently a legacy from the olympics where they had tables etc.

all-in-all its not worth the dough and a bit like being at the cinema.

Chinkey Weasel 3:17 Mon Nov 4
Re: Club London
Fuck it off Huffers son. I did this season after 21 years consecutive as a season ticket holder and don't miss it one bit unfortunately. Thought I would regret it but I honestly don;t. Its so shit over there now. Gave it 2 years but couldn't stand everything about the place including a lot of the newbie fans around me. Stamping there feet for corners etc and a bigger queue for popcorn than beer at half time. The club is dying and fuck all is going to change over there.

Huffers 3:13 Mon Nov 4
Re: Club London
Very depressed about it all.

I can't give it up. Ironically the club have just sent out the weekly email asking for feedback so I've given it to them again.

Whether I leave Club London or not, I genuinely want them to improve their standards. Its a shame and I have gone from the best seat at Upton Park to the same at Stratford for 4 times the money and no longer sitting with my usual mates etc. The 3 I moved with in 2016 have all given up.

Once I get this sorted I will get my son(s) (one due March 2020 international break!) on the waiting list and then look to move to get 3 in a row again anywhere.

Huffers

If you haven’t yet done so, please join Hammers United and recount your story and feelings to them. Yours is a typical tale and one of the main issues HU is dealing with.

You’re well known to be a loyal Hammer, home away, so you’re yet another strong case the club can’t continue to ignore.

I know it’s a tough decision, but you’d be better fucking the whole thing off altogether
